Description
Our Kente Weaver was part of the team of Master Weavers that had Kente Weaving classified as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
A traditional textile weave that feels excellently crafted and resolutely modern. This woven cotton cushion in bright earthy colours is carefully woven by hand in the traditional Kente technique from Ghana and will energise your home.
The Kente textile patterns of the Ewe people of Eastern Ghana are both traditional and Contemporary. We have playfully revisited these motifs in our design studio. Designed by Sara Efia Reddin and woven by master weavers in the Volta region of Ghana, this cotton cushion is a beautiful touch of graphic history. The cushions are finished by a local seamstress and take around 2 days each to weave.
