Our association started in October 2020 and hasthe aim to democratize education in the weavingcommunities that we work with. Education isexpensive in Ghana, families must not only payfees but provide uniforms and books. As theweavers often work part-time, combining farmingand other tasks within the communities, payingfor school fees, uniforms and books can be astrain on the families and not always the priority.Younger children often stay home, and olderteenagers may halt their education too early. Theaim of the association is to help all members ofthe community to educate their children.

We hope that by the end of 2021 we can start ourfirst initiative. Watch this space...
