Are you looking for traditional textile weaving that feels resonately contemporary? This contemporary cushion is beautifully woven by hand in the traditional Kente technique from Ghana. This contemporary feeling cushion with it’s graphic and colourful textured pattern will liven up your room.
Kente weaving is a a traditional African weaving technic from Ghana. The weaving is perfectly tight and smooth and consist of elaborate geometric patterns repeated on fine strips of fabric. Woven on a traditional loom in strips of around 15cm. The strips are then sewn together to create a beautiful patchwork cloth. The cushions take three days to weave and are finished by a local seamstress.
